Midsummer Nights is a festival that weaves together words, music, and theatre under the stars.
The sixth edition of the festival, featuring the artistic collaboration of Mario Brandolin, outlines an artistic journey dedicated to travel: travel as an experience, discovery, memory, and imagination. An itinerary through real and imaginary places: those recounted by Friulian writers, explored by great contemporary travelers, evoked by film music, and traversed by the protagonists of the Grand Tour and great Italian singer-songwriters. It is a path that intertwines different languages and invites us to view travel not merely as a geographical displacement, but as an opportunity for knowledge and encounter.
The Churches of San Zaccaria and Santa Maria del Mare will host six free-admission events, while the Arena Alpe Adria will serve as the setting for Movie Night (Notte di cinema), a symphonic concert by the Filarmonici Friulani Youth Orchestra dedicated to the most famous soundtracks in film history.
