Nadâl. Stupor Mundi

With Nadâl, Teatro Incerto returns to one of the most deeply rooted traditions of Italian culture: the Nativity scene. Claudio Moretti, Elvio Scruzzi and Flavia Valoppi create a live Nativity scene before the audience, using it as a starting point to explore the meaning of Christmas in an age dominated by consumerism and speed.

As the three performers attempt to bring their scene to life, they find themselves torn between the desire to preserve a ritual passed down through generations and the temptation to turn it into a product to be bought and consumed. This contradiction gives rise to a series of comic and paradoxical situations which, through the company's distinctive style, offer an ironic yet heartfelt perspective on the traditional festivities imposed by the calendar.

A performance that invites audiences to rediscover the value of theatre as a shared act and of tradition as a living practice—one capable of renewing itself without becoming mere nostalgia.
