Lignano Noir / Special Event: Andrea Camilleri
Lignano Sabbiadoro
10/18/2025
On the centenary of Andrea Camilleri’s birth, the Lignano Noir Festival dedicates a double event to the celebrated writer:
The presentation of his biography by author Luca Crovi, writer and radio host, as well as one of the leading experts on crime and noir literature.
A theatrical performance with the masterful interpretation of Massimo Venturiello — actor, director, and prominent voice actor in the Italian theatre and film scene, as well as Camilleri’s former student at the National Academy of Dramatic Arts and the narrator of the audiobooks of his works.
“Voice and music chase each other, freeing the musicality of Camilleri’s prose in a rhythmic and vocal virtuosity that captivates and fascinates, bringing to life the colors, flavors, and even the scents of the Sicily of Inspector Montalbano — now part of the collective imagination of an entire country.”

The festival pays tribute to writer Giorgio Scerbanenco, acknowledged as a master of Italian crime fiction, who, after discovering Lignano as a tourist — fascinated by the ever-changing shades of the sea, the pine forest, and the modern spirit of a city in transformation — chose it as his place of residence and inspiration for his novels.
Festival partners: Messaggero Veneto, Il Giallo Mondadori, Lignano Sabbiadoro Gestioni, Consorzio Lignano Holiday.
The event is part of the opening day of the 2025/26 season at the Cinecity in Lignano.
