Every Brilliant Thing (The Things That Make Life Worth Living)
Lignano Sabbiadoro
3/12/2027
Filippo Nigro brings to the stage a work of autofiction built around “lists of things worth living for.” The resulting list, which the protagonist shares with the audience in an engaging and intimate tone, is unpredictable, moving and deeply personal.
Every Brilliant Thing unfolds as a heartfelt, informal narrative and confession, capturing special moments, flashes of insight, little quirks, encounters, emotions and unforgettable instants. As the story progresses, the protagonist gradually explores his relationship with his father, his first love, the failure of his marriage and his search for help in times of difficulty.
With the audience’s participation and a fast-paced, consistently witty script, Every Brilliant Thing approaches a delicate and complex subject such as depression with sensitivity and a lightness of touch that never trivialises it.
